When a few friends asked Rao Fu and Carlos for help sourcing products from China, it felt natural. Both of us were Chinese-born but raised in America, so we grew up with one foot in each world. We spoke the languages, understood the cultures, and could navigate systems on both sides. What felt confusing and risky to our friends—finding the right factory, negotiating prices, ensuring quality—felt familiar to us.
And that’s when it clicked: this wasn’t just about helping a few friends. This was about filling a real gap.
That realization became The Eastern Plug.
What makes us different is personal. We’re not outsiders guessing how the system works. We’ve lived both sides. We know the pace of Chinese manufacturing, and we know the expectations of American buyers. That dual perspective is our greatest strength—and the reason our clients trust us to vet every product, check every detail, and deliver straight from the factory floor to their hands.
Over time, what began as a side project for friends grew into a sourcing company helping entrepreneurs, retailers, and established businesses alike. From MgO boards to dirt bikes, we’ve built relationships with trusted factories and delivered products that give our partners both quality and savings.
